Job Summary
The Developer/Administrator – Technical Solutions participates in the design, installation, development, modification, maintenance and enhancement of business applications. Collaborates with clients and colleagues to identify user requirements, assesses available technologies and recommends solution options.
Responsibilities
* Recommends technical solutions to achieve business needs
* Works with clients and ITS colleagues to determine user requirements and prepares detailed specifications
* Designs and develops business application systems and ensures compliance with standards and established methodologies and practices
* Participates in the implementation activities, e.g., sets up environment and conducts system/acceptance tests
* Provides support, including on-call, shift and/or weekend work as required for systems within their area of expertise. Monitors service performance by gathering and analyzing diagnostic information, identifying problems and suggesting alternative solutions.
* Works autonomously to resolve routine, moderately complex problems
* Provides support to colleagues for the more complex problems and undertaking enhancements
* Provides programming expertise in the analysis, design, and development of business applications
* Maintains collaborative relations with colleagues, internal clients and external counterparts to support operational objectives.
* Provides input to the development of IT standards, guidelines and documentation for the relevant technology solutions environment.
* Provides on-the-job training to colleagues and clients.
* Participates in Type 1 – 4 projects by providing support in area of expertise.
Information Technology Services Department
Salary Range: $53,494 to $57,859* (Position grade 14), depending on the qualifications of the candidate
* Plus potential annual performance payments ranging from 2% to 12% of base salary
