Dubai Visa cancelation, bank loan?
I am a resident of Dubai but i need to cancel my residency as i have quit my job there. Problem is, i have a bank loan too and i heard you have to clear all debt before leaving the country or go to jail. Does anyone know if this is true? or can i continue to pay it when im in another country? Also, im not in Dubai and want to send my passport by mail to cancel the visa. Will they hold my passport, inform the bank etc??

U r already outside UAE and it seems u r willing to pay and return to UAE.
U said u left ur present job, does it mean u will b returning to join another job!!! If u already have another job in ur hand, then it’s k.o and simple. U would have to come back to UAE, ask ur present company to cancell ur visa, once they will, immediately ur new company would b automatially able to get the new visa for u. U could go to the bank and discuss ur change of job matter with them, they’ll ask the offer letter from new company and most probably the under taking letter from new company as a gurantee. And tht’s it.
Now if u r already outside the country, plz mind this that if ur installment is not paid on time, then the bank will forward ur case to the legal department and ur name might b put forward in black list. I’m not sure if the bank waits 3 three installments now or not. U can inform the bank through emails (so that u have prove) and follow this route of correspondence with them, once approved forward a copy of approval to the gov. Body so no action is taken against u when u return to UAE.

Honestly, I’m not sure if there are laws in Dubai that dictate that you cannot change jobs while paying a bank loan. However in the United States, you can change jobs.

i am in dubai, i lost my job and i was not able to pay my loan for 2 months will the bank arrest me?

The BANK can’t arrest you. I don’t know if they can have to POLICE arrest you in Dubai.
