Richard asks…

Can my husband annual marriage after deserting me for 2.7 years?

Can my husband annual marriage after deserting me for 2.7 years?
Hi

i got married thru hindu marriage act in feb, 2006 in delhi, lived with husband in his parental home in kolkata for 9 days, came bak to delhi and lived with him here for 1.5 days and then we both flew to dubai where he was working.

then i came alone for vacation in india.i lived with inlaws alone for 65 days who tortured me a lot.so i came bak to my parents, and kept writing to my husband to take me bak.but he never responded.he changed his job also but never informed.

after 1.5 yrs. of desertion i went to CAW cell, where he gave in writing that he doesnt want to continue.so few months later i filed DV Act,2005 against him and my mother inlaw for harassing, deserting & for maintenance.i still want to go back, and this has been appealed in the DV case file

my inlaws are purposely not receiving notices.wen they started getting these notices,my husband’s advocate from kolkata sent me a personal notice 1 week bak(not thru any court) that my husband has filed for marriage annulment as the marriage is already dead, even though he’s the one who deserted me.till now i have not got any court notice regarding annulment.
further the advocate alleged that i hardly lived with him in dubai and we never lived together with my parents.these facts are false.i lived with husband in kolkata for 9 days(where his parents live),lived in delhi for 1.5 days with him(in my parents’ house) and then we lived together in dubai for 7-8 months.

i want to know if my marriage can be annulled after more than 3 yrs..on these grounds?

what if they file for annulment in kolkata court?we dont know anybody in kolkata and cant afford private lawyers who can come along.it will be difficult for us to go there….our marriage occurred in delhi and also got registered here…just to remind,i have been deserted for more than 2 yrs.,,,,and he never tried to bring me bak.

plz suggest sum remedy to get his annulment plea dismissed…and to avoid hearings in kolkata court…also they allege most of my belongings are with me only…this is wrong since i came just for a vacation.so i have just 10% of them…

please advise.thanks!

admin answers:

I am sorry but i don.t know international law.your best bet would be to talk to a local lawyer.why do
you want to stay with a man that don’t want you.
If you never has sex with him he may have a good
case.i think he needs to pay you to find a job so
you can pay your way as a single person.

Questions About Dubai Jobs Of Indian

I am told that there is some sort of a process at the home ministry and the UAE embassy. Can someone advice the process?

What is the description of the “Indian” position?

William asks…

I am an indian in dubai. my job takes me to travel in syria n iran. will this affect my chances of a US visa?

admin answers:

As long as you can show that you are traveling to those countries for legitimate reasons, which seems to be the case since you said that you travel to Syria and Iran because your occupation takes you there, then you should have very little problems with obtaining an American visa.

Make sure you keep all your exit/entry documentation and if needed, it might not be a bad idea to obtain a letter from your employers when you apply for the US visa, stating that they sent you to those countries for your job. This can only help your case.

Hope this helps!

Mark asks…

How is Cost of living in dubai as compared to Delhi at senior manager level , wife, 2 kids (8&1 yr), mother?

Got a job offer in Dubai so i want to know Comparative cost of living in dubai as compared to Delhi so that i can negotiate with employer for my SALARY and PERKS

please if anyone can help me in it as its urgent & important

admin answers:

You just can’t compare the xpns as it is much more than Delhi, you have to spend minimum double than you spend at India though it depends on your living style, you are comparing a consumer driven country with a productive one, I (middle managment) live here with my family as of your case I too got 2 kids (8&6 years) and wife obviously, and with a maximum controlled xpns I spends at-least 6000 AED per month w/out counting entertainment, medical xpns and a private/independent living facility. If I am in your shoes with a top managment responsibility I would stick to it and do continue at India, BUT you see sometime you have to take risk and venture out for better fortune. Good Luck

Linda asks…

Living cost of Dubai?

Hi All,

I got job offer from dubai they are affering me 8500 Dirhams including (HRA). I just want to know is this good deal also what is tha living cost of dubai i heart it is most expensive city in tha world.

Could i survive in this amount and how much i will save after all expence.

Guys Pls help me out its urgent.

admin answers:

Dubai has become very expensive, im here since jan’08 but seen many changes in living costs, its very hard to live with family with 8500, and if you want to stay in a bed space, a good bedspace will cost you around 1,000/- dhs. And food its depend on you, it may be from 800-1200 dhs. Per month, as if you are indian, and also sometimes its hard to get RTA (road transport authority) busses, you can hire commuters, phone calls, your living style everything depends, i think you can save around half of your salary,

but its a good salary, coz labors are getting 1,200/- dhs. Or less, but with company accommodation and surviving,

anyways, best of luck!!!!!!!!!!
