Questions About Dubai Jobs Driving

Linda asks…

Help! I am coming to Dubai from Bahrain and need help with the transfer of my driving license! Can I transfer?

I have a valid driving licence from Bahrain and will be now moving to Dubai on a new job. Can I transfer my Bahrain license? If not is there a better way. You know how tough getting these licenses are?

admin answers:

For an Indian National with a valid GCC license, you are allowed one “try”. This is a test and if you do well, you can then pay a nominal amount of 110/- and get a UAE license.

If you fail this test, based on your performance, you would have to undergo classes like everyone else.

There is no other way.

Pretty much all countries now allow you to drive on a license from your home country for a short time. (vacation) You just need to go through the local process to get your license in your new country as soon as possible (depending upon the laws of the country to which you are relocating.)

So i need help cause I’m confused?
@Carrie ..i would like to but I’m to short i cant reach 212cm on my toes :(

admin answers:

Brus, like I told you before, groom and bride have both to be UAE residents if marrying at Sharia Court. This rule doesn’t apply if marrying in a Roman Catholic Church.

Please re-read the link about getting married in Dubai which I sent to you before. Http://www.dubaifaqs.com/marriage-in-dubai.php
Please note, that “residence” is mentioned under Isamic Wedding only.

Call the Priest of St Mary’s Church in Bur Dubai being available to talk to from 8am-12pm and 4-6pm and ask what docs are required.

To gain a residence visa you need to have you marriage certificate translated into Arabic and have it stamped by the Ministry of Justice and Mofa before it can be presented at DNR. It’s a bit running around and paying fees, but in all an easy process without any hassle. At Immigration your current visa will be converted into the right entry permit and then into a residence visa.

In case you will marry in your home country you just need to have your marriage certificate attested by Mofa and the UAE Embassy. That’s it.

As soon as you hold a valid marriage certificate ready to be acknowledged by DNR you for sure will receive your residence visa.

Edit: Sharia Court applies to Islamic marriages/Muslims only!

WHOA!! WTH? Hillary is being paid $10,000,000.00 per year by the Emir of Dubai,is this odd to you?

Major news networks reported, this AM, that Hillary is on the Emir’s payroll to the tune of $10,000,000.00 per year as an “investment consultant”.this is the same Emir that wants U.S.port security and operations contracts as well as military logistics contracts in the Persian Gulf region.
She reportedly took an early buyout from her “investment consultant” job for $20,000,000.00.( now we know where the $5,000,000.00 “loan” to her campaign came from)
Are you surprised by this?

Now i get a job offer in DUBAI. If any problem for entering in dubai without cancelling my saudi re-entry visa? I hear ed a news about it,that is any gulf counties do not allow employment visa for anyone have a re-entry visa ,Only allow the visa after exit the first one.I want to know the truth. In case i accept my job offer in dubai if i have any problem for going without cancelling my saudi re-entry visa .please answer me..the same problem i saw in this yahoo site .but they answer different.please i need the correct answer about it.

admin answers:

Things here depends upon the situation, the only people that has a problem regarding this is, if you have a loan on some bank in Saudi Arabia, such will affect your application in other GCC countries because they can track your presence in it, but if you already paid everything, then you must have a clearance certificate proving that you settled it.

But, if you didn’t have any loan, then you must not get worried about your case, unless maybe if your employer will file a complain against you and he will raise this case blocking you an any GCC countries to work.

Questions About Dubai Jobs Graduate Engineer

Sandra asks…

One of my friend is absconding from the job for the last 6 months.is his visa gets cancelled?

one of my friend working as graduate engineer in dubai is absconding from the job for the last 6 months.is his visa gets cancelled?if not, how should he can cancel his visa.
can he eligible for employement in other gulf countries?

admin answers:

Your friend’s visa is not valid no more, but not cancelled. His sponsor has to report him absconded and he will receive a ban as soon as his visa gets cancelled. For cancellation your friend has to send his passport via courier to his former employer.

He still can take employment in other Gulf countries, but their companies are not stupid. If they see that his visa is not cancelled, they know the deal and will suspect that something did not go the proper way.

Your friend has to find an amicable solution with his former employer, has his visa cancelled and should not do such a stupid thing no more.

Take care.

Susan asks…

Is there in American that has successfully gotten a job in Dubai?

If so, how did you go about doing it? What legitimate website did you use (jobsindubai.com is a scam)? How long was the process? I have 10 months left in college before I graduate. I want to start my career off in Dubai as an electronic engineer. How should I go about doing it?

admin answers:

Go to www.gulfnews.com for job posting. Try sending your cv while in the US, you can come here with visit visa in case you were not offered a job beforehand.
It would be easier to find a job here if you have a good work experience so I suggest you work in the US for 2 – 3 years first.
