Donald asks…
can i cancel dubai visa and look for job in jebel ali free zone , will they ban me ?
I m working in MNC and holds Dubai Visa, If i want to resign the present company and move to some company in JEBEL ALI FREE ZONE than will they put ban on my VISA.
My Present company dont have policy of putting ban but is there any possible way that i will be banned to enter and work in JEBEL ALI FREE ZONE
admin answers:
Doesn’t matter the company puts ban or not. At the time of visa/labor card cancellation, there is an automatically work permit ban from Ministry of Labor. There are two facts, everyone must know:
1) Dubai distributes into 2 zones: Free zone & labor zone. If anyone has free zone visa (under the fully administration of DNRD – Dubai Naturalization and Residency Department), there is no ban on the person. He/she can transfer between the zones without having ban or without paying extra fees.
2) If the person has labor zone visa (under the Ministry of Labor) then at the time of cancellation, there is an automatically ban. But the person can get the job in free zone without producing NOC and without paying ban amount.

Daniel asks…
How long does it take to process Dubai Free Zone employment visa?
Hi,
I had got an job offer in January from an organization based out of Dubai free zone and have accepted the offer and submitted the attested degree certificate from India and the necessary documents to the organization one month back. When I had contacted the organization they told me that the visa is still under process. Normally free zone visas are processed faster,Now I’m worried as its more than a month. How long does it take to process a Dubai free zone visa?
Thanks
@Hans – Thanks a lot
@Abdul – Thanks a lot
! yeah guess have to wait. I was worried as its a free zone visa that is taking a long time.
admin answers:
With in i week u vl get the visa. Then with in 15 days take medical and submit report another one week your visa will be stamped on your passport.later apply for Labour card. With in 1 month you will get that too.
Some case it will be late.Any company documents are expired, then that should be renewed first. If there is any fines to company from govt.dept.that should be paid.Or your PRO will be on leave then it will be late.Or there is visa quoto for companies may be this is full.May be company appointed you bcoz one person resigned. And his visa cancellation process will be on pending. After that u will get the visa.Exactly we cannot trace what is the real reason. It is only one month and they told u visa under process.I suggest u had better wait little more…

What kind of picture do you put on a CV for a job at Dubai? cheesy smile? No smile?
I heard that you must put a photo on a CV for a job in dubai, and also personal info like age, nationality, etc
What kind of photo do I put? Does it have tp be professional? Straight face only? is sideways ok?
full body shot? face only? I don’t get it ! We don’t ask for photos where I live now it’s illegal lol
in the U.S. .. it’s illegal because it like saying hire me because i am young, beautiful or of this or that race.. They should be calling you based on education and work experience criteria only
admin answers:
In which country it’s illegal to include a pic with a cv? To include a pic isn’t mandatory in the UAE but if asked for, it should be face only like a pasport pic. Smile, but not to cheesy:).

please i need xtra income it hard the life here in dubai i need job as part time or working at home…..p.m me in charmscrystal_dubai@yahoo.com
admin answers:
Your question may be answered if you would let us know your profession.
Officially there is no “working at home” on employment with a steady income.
I know a couple people who have jobs beside, but like I said before: I do not know either your profession nor your education.
Are you working? If yes, please check your contract if you are even allowed to take a job beside.
If you want you can email me.
Take care.

are the jobs posted on www.gnads4u.com/jobs like the jobs posted on www.bayt.com in dubai?
can you please help me…I am confused about the jobs posted in www.gnads4u.com/jobs because i can see they are way too many compared with the jobs at bayt.com…what’s the difference between the two?…are salaries of the jobs at gnads4u less than bayt.com or what?…thx
I mean are the jobs posted in gnads4u worse than the jobs at bayt.com in terms of benefits?
admin answers:
Bayt.com is an online recruiter, where as Gulf News is the daily where employers and recruiter offering their jobs. (gnads = Gulf News Ads)
I don’t know what kind of job openings bayt has right now, but in the paper you will find all kind of low salary jobs as house maids, gardeners, drivers, unskilled workers , etc., etc.
Take care.

I have tried all sorts of job sites including bayt, monster and naukri gulf, gulf talent etc. I have also tried contacting agencies personally. But the response is extremely dismal.
Any ideas?
admin answers:
If I were you, I won’t go there. Job market is really down.
You’r losing your precious time.
Either try other countries, or find freelance work online.
If you’re good at training, teaching, tutoring, then you can make a lot of money from the tutoring site below:
