Is 10,000 AED a good monthly wage in Dubai?
I have an interview for a job – deputy editor of a magazine that pays 10,000 a month – is this a good wage for the job? Is it livable on to a good standard? There is no housing allowance, only medical insurance.
Many thanks.

Dear Friend,
It is a good wage comparing to many others here in Dubai.
People here getting a minimum of AED 800 per month and living happily in their style.
Accommodation cost will be high here and if you go for a 1BHK/Studio, it will be AED 60K-AED 120K per annum.
Or you may able to get sharing accommodations, if you like so. It will be starting from AED 1500 per month. Rest in your hand and purely depends on your spending style.
Best of Luck
Thx

Can company go leagal against me?
hi,
I was working in Dubai and due to some unfortunate reasons had to leave the job & come back to my home country. Now since I was not able to give 1 mnth mandatory notice, Company is asking for 1 month’s salary in lieu of it as agreed at the time of employment. My visa was not sponsered by the company and was working w/o labour card also. But was availing Medical Insurance benefit provided by the company. My questions are :
1) In case don’t pay up, can company go legal against me or my previous sponser.
2) Will I get into trouble on going back to UAE or some other Middle East country.
3) Will this harm my future employment chances.
I just cann’t afford to pay right now. What all options do I have to get out of this mess. Please help !!!

Its better not to go to UAE right now.
If u are getting very good job in UAE, then tell ur (new) company that u can join only if they pay for u to ur (old) company.
U may try job in other gulf countries like Kuwait or Bahrain or so until ur company forgets about u (like say 5-7 yrs).

Does anyone know what basic medical insurance covers in Dubai?
My husband is one step away from being offered a job in Dubai and part of the benefit is “basic medical insurance“. Does anyone knows what this covers and whether we really need to get private medical insurance.
admin answers:
Is it possible for your husband to ask his new employer? Or perhaps the new company has a web site that you can check out. Good luck. We are going to Dubai in a couple of weeks…looking forward to it.

Are there any placement consultants in India who can schedule job interviews in software field?
Hi All,
Is there any Job consultants who can assist us in getting a job offer from any overseas country (canada, new zealand, australia, singapore, dubai, etc) being in India?
I know if i visit New Zealand or any overseas country for a couple of months, its easy to get a job offer in Software field. But i would like to know if any placement agencies are there who can assist in scheduling job interviews without visiting New Zealand or any overseas country.

How can i find job consultants in Dubai, UAE. Specifically i am looking out for a computer teacher?
Just a month ago, i have cum to join my husband from India to Dubai. I have a total of 4.5 yrs of experience out of which 3.5 is with BPO’s in delhi(INDIA) and 1 yr in teaching. I have done MCA from IGNOU. First tell me which line should i look for and if wanna join some school what is the procedure for that.
admin answers:
My personal opinion is to select teaching. There are many IT professionals looking for jobs in Dubai. So the IT market is very competitive. You can directly write to schools describing your experience to get a teaching job. Please don’t depend on job agencies to find you a job.

How to find VISA confirmation from dubai?
i have got dubai job offer from consultant in india and he ask me medical with fees of 1500 which i did it and letter he ask me my Original passport that also i have given but now 20 days going to be over till date no confirmation of my job what to do next
admin answers:
All visa and work related fees have to be paid by the employer only, like also the medical. The medical fees are due right when the test is done and aren’t even AED 1.500. If I am not mistaken, the medical is AED 200 – AED 500.
You got cheated by one of your own countrymen.
