How to get a job at dubiotech in Dubai?

Does anyone know how or where we can apply for jobs at dubiotech, like is there some specific recruiting firm I need to send my resume to?

Or does anyone know of a legit employment agency that will find me a biotech job in Dubai or the Gulf in general? I am a recent Canadian BSc grad, with 0 yrs experience, looking for my first job. Thanks.

admin answers:

If you cannot find yourself a trusted recruiter (this is the best option), then consider bayt. They are a good firm to go to from personal experience and what i have been told. I have tried them personally and liked their work. They also have a free job database you can search. In addition there is a dubai job guide that you can consider. You can have a look at that as it is a good resource that i have also used in my job search. It works for the middle east as a whole.

Maria asks…

Is Jobs in Dubai really ask for money before they can give my CV to employers?

I was informed by Jobs in Dubai Recruitment that I am accepted by employer but for them to proceed, I have to pay 92 Canadian Dollar. Is this reliable?

admin answers:

Why pay money to intermediaries when you can apply directly to companies?

You don’t have to pay anything to just have your application processed. The money factor comes in only after you’ve been given the job and you apply for the visa.

Till then, stay away from touts & agents who ask for money. It sounds suspicious.

Sandy asks…

How do you best find jobs in Dubai?

I wanted to work in Dubai if possible. What are the best ways for me to find jobs there? Are there any good websites for that?

admin answers:

A good job in Dubai, that satisfies many criteria like salary, perks, etc. And is personally and professionally challenging, requires you to do many things. Simply posting your Resume to Agencies or any other one or two ways will not achieve the results that you want.

Also, the agencies will only send you some job offers they “feel” matches your Resume. So, basically you are at their mercy. You need to play a more active role to achieve your DREAM job in Dubai, since a good job will make or break your career and with it your chance towards financial freedom and luxury.

I advise you to follow the steps clearly laid out at

http://dubai-forever.com/jobs-in-dubai.html

where you will also find more details about your specific career field and lots more info.

I Hope this helps,

All The Best!!!

I lived in Abu Dhabi in the UAE when I was 12 because my dad worked in the oil industry there. Obviously it was not as well developed as Dubai is now but I can give you a general feel for the place. It is hot. Very Hot. I know this sort of goes without saying but as a fair skinned blonde child this was often a problem. The school/work day starts very early in the morning (around 7am) and then they come home in the afternoon for a sleep and then return to school/work in the afternoon. Thursdays and Fridays are the days off as it is a Muslim country. Most shopping is done at a Souk – a kind of market place in the evenings. You have to haggle to buy everything from a watermelon to a piece of material so it can take time. There are also, of course air conditioned supermarkets if you want to avoid the local culture which a lot of ex-pats favour. There is a huge ex-pat community with BBQ’s on the beach, speedboating etc. The only schools there are obviously private ones – the American schools being the best. Fees are charged per term and there may be a waiting list. It is a very male country. As a female you will be seen as not as important as a man but that is just the way it is there. Most Muslim women will not want to talk to you and as you are showing more flesh, the Arab men might leer at you. You would need a work permit to work in the UAE, you can’t just turn up and work which means you’d have to go through rigorous procedures and prove you are doing a job which cannot be done by a local person.

My dad is in the Air Force and we moved to Oman (it’s just below Dubai) when I was 9 and have lived there since (I’m 18 now and just come back to England for uni) and I swear it’s the best decision my parents have ever made. I had the most amazing childhood and upbringing, Oman has the great weather of Dubai but it has more culture and soul, yet if you want shopping Dubai is 4 hours up the road or a cheap 1 hour flight! I seriously recommend looking into Oman, I absolutely loved it and would suggest it to anyone, can’t imagine a better place to have grown up. Plus my school was incredible (ABA), bullying wasn’t an issue ever and drugs weren’t even in my radar. There’s some drinking but I think you have that everywhere, and officially the drinking age is 21. Beautiful place.

Apologies, my computer is being weird and not working to link you directly to pictures, but if you scroll down to the bottom of this thread, I’ve posted Oman pictures. It’s gorgeous.

Betty asks…

I have received a job in Dubai for 4000 UAE with a studio apartment and meals included, is that a good deal??

I am a young American girl that has received a job offer in Dubai that includes a 4000UAE salary and also a apartment, meals, and transportation to and from my work. My question is, is this a good deal and can I live fine with 4000UAE a month to go out, dining and dancing and also buy standard living things such as groceries??? I will be coming alone and only need to support myself and I would like to save a little also but I really like going out dancing and need to know if thats expensive. I really dont know how it is out there so any help would be great!! Thanks so much.

admin answers:

It all depends on how much you go out. 4000AED is not a lot of money in Dubai, but since your rent, meals and transport are covered, it might be enough. You definitely will not be able to splurge, and also won’t be able to save much.

On an average night out at a club, expect to spend in the range of 200-300 AED on drinks, taxis, food, etc. Some clubs will be more expensive than that, some cheaper.

So if you go out dancing 2-3 times a week, you will just about be OK. Any more and you will struggle.
