REPORTS TO : OPTIMIZATION MANAGER

Position objectives

Achieve and maintain a high quality level of the Packet Switch Network Services, and ensure high quality performance on all technical activities and the highest possible level of customer satisfaction. Provide effective technical support and continually seek for quality improvements within the Network Optimization project.

Job Description and Responsibilities

• Checking all the KPIs related to PS on daily basis
• Full analysis for any abnormalities and problems
• Dealing with the PS customer complaints
• Features assessment, activation, and test
• Perform PS drive test for major problems, and parameters tests
• Perform multiple tests on daily basis to check the subscriber perceived service

Qualifications & Experience Requirements

• Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years optimization & Planning experience
• Minimum 3 years with well known vendors or well known telecom operators
• Strong command of the English language, Arabic language knowledge will be considered as an advantage
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills (team work, knowledge sharing, commitments)
• Strong organizational and time management skills

PROJECT/DEPARTMENT : Network Operations

REPORTS TO : Section Manager

Position objectives Tier 1 fault management: Monitoring alarms, opening and analyzing trouble tickets, troubleshooting and isolating failures related to Packet Data switching and transport equipment and protocols, recommending solutions, escalating in case of need for higher tier of repair, identifying trends, problem solving, and reporting.

Job Description and Responsibilities

• Monitoring alarms, opening trouble tickets and acting towards rectification of faults related to Packet Data switching and transport network.
• Identifying the root cause and providing the solution for trouble tickets including ensuring minimum downtime for all outages
• Co-ordination with MC / DDC for all port, card, equipment and media related faults.
• Ensuring all alarms to be cleared after any planned or unplanned activity.
• Updating the actions taken towards rectification of fault in TT.
• Referring the TT to Fault Management Network Tier – 2 for next level technical support (if required) with the justification updated in TT.
• Clearing the TT after ensuring the rectification of the fault and update the Solution Code.
• Assigning the TT to Network Surveillance team for Closure confirmation.
• Carrying out the MDT/TC assigned by Network Surveillance team.
• After completion of MDT, verify the changes implemented as per the action plan.
• Escalation to STC Management as per the SLA’s

Qualifications & Experience Requirements

• 4 year college degree in engineering or IT
• Minimum 3 years experience in Network Operations fault analysis and isolation, with either a contractor or an operator.
