Description

Supervision and evaluation of nursing personnel through home visits and competency testing.  Organizes and oversees orientation of RN staff.  Schedules staff visits.  Assists the Director with planning and implementation of departmental functions.  Interviews RN applicants.  Responsible for the operation of the home health department in the absence of the Director.  Liaison between home health staff and physicians, negotiates with IV companies, responsible for creating home health competency program and RN competency testing, available on-call to home health staff for problem solving and supervisory issues, intake of patient referrals, insurance authorization, and compliant resolution.  Understands and implements the disciplinary process as appropriate.  On call to the RN staff as needed for consultation & problem solving.
