Required Qualifications: Master’s degree in Nursing or completion of a course for Nurse Practitioner and New York State Certification as a Nurse Practitioner. Three years full time experience as a Nurse Practitioner. NYS Registered Nurse, NYS Certification as an Adult/Family and/or Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner.
Preferred Qualifications: Two or more years of full time experience in an ambulatory outpatient Women’s Health Care Center.

Brief Description of Duties: Coordinate and provide health services to students enrolled at Stony Brook University.

  • Conduct comprehensive or episodic health assessment of patients and follow up as required.
  • Establish medical/nursing diagnosis; order diagnostic studies; prescribe and perform therapeutic procedures. Record and document health appraisal data.
  • Write practice protocols.
  • Participate in Quality Assurance programs / AAAHC accreditation efforts and provide input with the development, revising and/or implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Preceptor for Baccalaureate and Masters nursing students and/or medical students and residents. Evaluate any students rotating through GYN. Contribute to evaluation of Clinical Assistant.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with physician collaborator and other professionals. Resource for health education staff and peer health educators.
  • Maintain license, CME, infection control and CPR/AED, HIPAA training as required. Maintain and enhance a current level of knowledge relative to professional practice.
  • Attend monthly staff meetings.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Special Notes: This is a full time appointment. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously.

University at Albany – Director of the Center for Technology

Job Description:
The Center for Technology in Government is an applied research center at the University at Albany with a staff of 28 professionals and graduate students. CTG has a fifteen year history of applied research and leadership in government IT innovation. It is the only organization of its kind in the United States with a unique approach that combines academic excellence and deep engagement with government partners in the discovery and learning process. The Center for Technology in Goverment and its staff have been recognized for innovation, excellence, and leadership by nine state and national awards including the Ford Foundation Innovations in American Government Program, several National Association of State Chief Information Officers Best Practice Awards, Governing Magazine’s Public Official of the Year Award, and the Rudolph Giuliani Award for Leadership.

The Center for Technology in Government is seeking candidates for the Center Director’s position. Successful candidates will have demonstrated leadership in the field of government technology innovation and excellent qualifications in both research and solution development, with particular emphasis on organizational and policy issues.

Requirements:
Doctoral degree required from a college or university accredited by a US Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization with at least 5 years of leadership experience. Successful candidates will have knowledge of information technology innovation across levels of government and in a variety of program areas. They will also have a record of successful leadership, demonstrated ability to attract research support and external funding. Candidates should have the capability to collectively manage and direct a highly professional and creative staff in a multidisciplinary research environment. The Center Director must be able to develop and maintain effective, collegial relationships with policy makers and government professionals, who are key partners in the Center’s work. Experience in State, federal, and international context is desirable. Candidates must show a demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups of people.


Additional Information:

Faculty appointment in the appropriate school or college may be available for the new Director, depending on qualifications and preferences.

Brief description of duties:

This position reports directly to the Vice Dean. The incumbent serves as director of recruiting and student services in the Weekend MBA Program in Clifton Park, Saratoga County, and is the primary individual responsible for recruitment of students, advising, and other student services in that program. This individual works with the Vice Dean, who is primarily responsible for the academic content of the program and dealing with faculty. Works with other program directors and Assistant Deans to coordinate the content of publications, web sites and other sources of information about the Weekend MBA program. May assist in advisement of students in other business school programs.

Qualifications:

The incumbent should have a bachelor’s degree and at least three to five years of relevant experience at a minimum, and ideally will have an MBA or equivalent degree. Degree must be from a college or university accredited by a US Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization. Must have experience in marketing communications or human resources/recruiting and have good interpersonal skills. Must have good written and oral communications skills; be able to work independently with minimal direction or supervision and as a team player. Familiarity with computer usage for word processing, database and spreadsheet applications is expected. PeopleSoft or similar system experience is a plus. Applicants must address in their application their ability to work with culturally diverse populations.

Special Notes:

Develop and implement a marketing/recruiting plan for the program. Identify, qualify and interact with prospective students for the program and sponsoring employers in the region. Develop and maintain relationships with partner institutions, e.g., regional chambers of commerce and local employers. Develop and coordinate new student orientation. Manage the weekend operations of the program. Collect regular feedback from students on program issues and report to the relevant administrators and faculty. Assist in student recruitment as fairs, forums and other events. Assist in supervision of MBA program assistant and graduate assistants.
